A motorcycle that caught on fire started a small brushfire Sunday near the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Palmdale that temporarily shut down on offramp, according to authorities.
The fire at the W Avenue N offramp from the 14 Freeway was reported at around 5 p.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Cheryl Sims said.
The flames forced the California Highway Patrol to temporarily shut down the W Avenue N offramp, according to the CHP.
County firefighters knocked down the fire by about 5:30 p.m., Sims said. No estimate of acreage burned was available, she said.
No injuries were reported.
