Nine inmates aboard a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department bus suffered minor injuries in a collision in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday.
The inmates injured in the collision in the 600 block of South Figueroa Street around 6:35 p.m. Tuesday were taken to a hospital by paramedics, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
The injured inmates were men between 18-24 years old, Prange said.
What led up to the crash remains unknown.
