
Officials with AMC Theatres said the company began working with Warner Bros. shortly after Prince’s death on Thursday to bring the 1984 film — which has been airing as a tribute on some cable stations — back to the silver screen.

AMC will show the film at 87 theaters across the country, including eight in the Los Angeles area:
- Atlantic Times Square 14, Monterey Park
- Broadway 4, Santa Monica
- Covina 17
- Norwalk 20
- Ontario Mills 30
- Orange 30
- Promenade 16, Woodland Hills
- And Rolling Hills 20, Torrance.
The film will also be shown at the Mission Valley 20 theater complex in San Diego.
Screenings will continue through Thursday.
