Firefighters extinguished a stubborn fire Sunday at a vacant, boarded-up building in Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The blaze at 6015 Sunset Blvd. was reported at 4:40 p.m., said LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey.

The department sent 89 firefighters to the scene and after 20 minutes of intense firefighting extinguished the blames, Humphrey said.

The building previously burned on Aug. 31, 2019, Humphrey added.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation, he said.
