A vehicle fire Sunday temporarily closed all eastbound lanes on the 60 Freeway through the Badlands east of Moreno Valley.
The fire was reported at 12:09 p.m. west of Jack Rabbit Trail, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said the vehicle was fully engulfed in fire, creating plumes of dark smoke, and that 55 gallons of spilled diesel fuel made the blaze difficult for firefighters to put out.
The Riverside County Fire Department tweeted a photo showing a charred pickup truck on the shoulder of the roadway and said the fire had been extinguished.
According to the CHP, all occupants exited the vehicle and no injuries were reported.
A Sigalert initially issued for the eastbound lanes of the freeway was canceled and all lanes have since reopened.
