Fans will have the opportunity to pose for pictures with the NBA’s 1988 Larry O’Brien Trophy and Major League Baseball’s 1988 Commissioner’s Trophy Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium as the Los Angeles Dodgers conduct Lakers Night.

The trophies will be set up for picture-taking in the right field plaza from 5:10 p.m. through the second inning. The year 1988 was chosen as the year for the trophies because it is the only year the Lakers and Dodgers both won championships.

The Laker Girls will also be present for pictures.

A special Lakers drink will be available in the plaza bar.

Pregame activities will also include DJ Adam providing musical entertainment in the right field plaza and Dennis Powell, who pitched for the Dodgers in 1985 and 1986, signing autographs in the left field plaza from 5-7 p.m.

Laker guard Jordan Clarkson will throw the ceremonial first pitch before the game with the Washington Nationals and join the Laker Girls in officially starting the game by declaring, “It’s time for Dodger baseball.”

Singer, songwriter and trumpeter Spencer Ludwig from the indie pop band Capital Cities will perform the national anthem.

Auto gates will open at 4:40 p.m. and stadium gates at 5:10 p.m. Pregame ceremonies will begin at 6:55 p.m. for the 7:10 p.m. game.
