A fire in a landfill in Indio Friday evening will produce a glow that will be visible through Saturday.
Firefighters responded at 9:05 p.m. to the Coachella Valley Transfer Station in the 87000 block of Landfill Road, near Polk Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries or structures threatened and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
