A homicide investigation was underway Monday in Moreno Valley, and investigators urged residents to call and report any information they may have.
Deputies responded at 11:25 p.m. Sunday to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 22900 block of Adrienne Avenue, according to Sgt. Richard Carroll of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Arriving deputies found a man suffering from a life-threatening injury, the details of which were not made public. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
Whoever attacked the victim, whose name and age were not released, had fled the scene by the time deputies arrived.
