A woman was killed Monday evening in El Monte.
Officers responded about 8 p.m. to the 2300 block of Mountain View Road, near Peck Road, where they located the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputy Eva Jimenez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which was assisting El Monte police with the investigation into the woman’s death.
Details of the woman’s death or a description of any possible suspects were not immediately available.
The woman’s name was not disclosed.
