Metro service on the A (Blue) and E (Expo) lines will be suspended between Seventh Street/Metro Center and Pico Stations for 10 weekends starting Friday, but the J (Silver) Line will remain in service and Metro bus line 859 will serve as a free shuttle.
Service will be suspended on the two rail lines starting at 9 p.m. Fridays and through end of service Sundays during the following weekends:
— July 30 to Aug. 1;
— Aug. 6 to Aug. 8;
— Aug. 13 to Aug. 15;
— Aug. 20 to Aug. 22;
— Aug. 27 to Aug. 29;
— Sept. 17 to Sept. 19;
— Sept. 24 to Sept. 26;
— Oct. 1 to Oct. 3;
— Oct. 15 to Oct. 17; and
— Oct. 29 to Oct. 31.
Metro Bike Share service is also available at the two stations. The B (Red) and D (Purple) rail lines will not be affected by the closure.
Crews will be working to connect the A and E lines to the future Regional Connector, a 1.9-mile underground light-rail extension that will connect the two lines, along with the L (Gold) Line, in downtown Los Angeles with three new stations at First Street/Central Avenue, Second Street/Broadway and Second Place/Hope Street.
