Firefighters knocked down a greater alarm blaze Saturday at a restaurant in a row of one-story businesses in downtown Los Angeles.
A bystander at the scene was evaluated for breathing difficulties by paramedics but was not taken to a hospital, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 12:08 p.m. to 1335 S. Santee St. had the fire out within 22 minutes of their arrival, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
No other injuries were reported, Humphrey said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
