A man was found mortally wounded Monday morning in front of a medical office building in Lancaster.
The shooting was reported about 2:15 a.m. at 17th Street West and Avenue J, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim, about 19 to 25 years old, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
“When deputies arrived they were informed by Antelope Valley Hospital security that the victim … had been located on the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper torso,” a sheriff’s department said.
