A person who jumped from a freeway overpass in South Los Angeles was killed Thursday.

California Highway Patrol officers were called at 2:15 a.m. to the transition road from the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway and the westbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway after receiving calls regarding a jumper and upon their arrival found the victim, CHP Officer Ramon Kendricks told City News Service.

The victim, whose name, age and gender were not immediately available, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The CHP closed the transition road and several lanes of the 105 Freeway while conducting its investigation of the scene.

There was no further information.
