The blaze on the third floor of the building at 11865 W. Rochester Ave., between Brockton Avenue Elementary and University High schools, was reported about 5:25 p.m. Thursday, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The fire department dispatched 33 firefighters to the scene and knocked down the flames in under 20 minutes, Humphrey said.
