A pre-dawn fire at a home in La Canada Flintridge Tuesday left a 67-year-old man dead and three other people injured, including a firefighter.
Firefighters sent to the 2000 block of Rancho Cañada Road, near Foothill Boulevard, shortly before 4 a.m. extinguished the flames in the two-story, single-family structure in about 20 minutes, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
A man was found dead at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. He was later identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as 67-year-old Jacob Seong.
A firefighter and two other people were taken to a hospital in unspecified condition, the fire department reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
