A hit-and-run suspect led deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station on a chase Friday before being apprehended.
Officers responded to a minor traffic collision at the intersection of Monterey Avenue and Dinah Shore Drive on Friday at 1:38 p.m. Friday, according to Sgt. Shaun Griffith.
The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Indio resident Jesus Quiroz, departed the scene before officers arrived, Griffith said.
After officials caught up to him at the intersection of Gerald Ford Drive and Cook Street, according to Griffith, Quiroz initiated a chase that lasted until the intersection of Country Club and Eldorado drives, at which point he was taken into custody.
No injuries were reported for Quiroz or any deputies.
