A man in his 20s was injured when he was struck by a vehicle in Santa Monica, authorities said Tuesday.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of Pacific Coast Highway around midnight regarding a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian and a sedan, according to Lt. Erika Aklufi of the Santa Monica Police Department.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, she said.
“The driver of the vehicle returned and is in custody and cooperating with investigators,” Aklufi said in a statement.
Detectives have not determined if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
No further information was immediately available.
