A 48-year-old woman who was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking in Lancaster was identified Wednesday.
Guillermina Valencia was struck around 10:30 p.m. Monday at Third Street East and Avenue I, according to the county Department of Medical Examiner and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the sheriff’s department, witnesses said a red four-door sedan struck Valencia and did not stop.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call traffic investigators at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station at 661-948-8466.
