The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped four-tenths of a cent Sunday to $4.466, its lowest amount since Dec. 29, 2022.
The average price has decreased 14 of the past 15 days, and is 3.7 cents less than one week ago, 13.2 cents less than one month ago and 66.4 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.028 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price fell two-tenths of a cent to $4.374, its lowest amount since Dec. 27, 2022. The Orange County average price is 3.8 cents less than one week ago, 15.2 cents less than one month ago and 60.9 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $2.085 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped six-tenths of a cent for the second consecutive day, to $3.072. It is 1.3 cents less than one week ago, 12.4 cents less than one month ago and 26.1 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.944 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
