A 26-year-old man who was ejected from his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene in Lancaster was identified Thursday by county authorities.
The man was identified as Elijah Gray, said the county Medical Examiner’s office, who added they had no city of residence for the biker.
Deputies responded near the intersection of 10th Street West, north of Avenue I, around 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, to reports regarding a severe traffic collision involving a motorcycle, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Further investigation revealed that Gray was riding a Honda dirt bike traveling northbound on 10th Street West moments before colliding with a curb, causing him to become ejected from the motorcycle and slam into a street sign. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
