An Ebony Alert was activated Thursday for a 22-year-old who was reported missing after last being seen in Hemet.
Akyssa Thomas was last seen at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday near Orange Blossom Lane and South Meridian Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
Thomas is Black, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 115 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities believe Thomas is traveling on foot.
Anyone who has seen Thomas was asked to call 911.
Ebony Alerts are issued to help find Black children, teenagers and young adults — 12 to 25 years old — who are reported missing under unexplained or suspicious circumstances or those who are at-risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired or who have been abducted.
