Fire Sunday damaged an abandoned/vacant two-story structure that once housed a charter school in the Jefferson Park community of South Los Angeles, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 9:09 a.m. Sunday to 2255 W. Adams Blvd. had the fire out at 9:34 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The 72 firefighters dispatched to the scene “located and extinguished a fire located on the second floor of an abandoned/vacant charter school,” the LAFD’s Jennifer Middleton said.
The former school’s name was not immediately known.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
