A suspect was shot by at least one Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy in Azusa Wednesday and taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
Homicide detectives responded at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to the 5500 block of North Orangecrest Avenue after receiving reports of the shooting, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
It was not immediately clear what prompted the initial law enforcement response or the shooting.
No deputies were injured in the shooting, according to the sheriff’s department.
