A Silver Alert is in effect Thursday for a 78-year-old woman who was last seen in Long Beach.
Estela Alemon was last seen Wednesday at approximately 4 p.m. at East Broadway and Esperanza Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Long Beach Police Department.
Alemon is Latina, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 135 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black pajama pants and uses a blue walker.
Authorities say Alemon is believed to be traveling on foot.
Anyone with information regarding Alemon’s whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
