One man was killed and another was injured in a collision Wednesday in Van Nuys, police said Wednesday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called to Kester Avenue and Saticoy Street at approximately12:37 a.m. Wednesday where witnesses told them the driver of a Toyota Prius was traveling north on Kester when he collided with the driver of a Scion, who was heading east on Saticoy, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The driver of the Prius was pronounced dead at the scene, the LAPD said.
The man driving the Scion was freed from the wreckage of the collision by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel, who took him to a hospital in stable condition.
NBC 4 reported the driver of the Scion was involved in an earlier collision at Riverside Drive and Woodman Avenue in Sherman Oaks.
The cause of the collision is under investigation police said.
