A man in his 50s was arrested in Northridge Sunday after allegedly threatening people with a machete, smashing a vehicle window and barricading inside a silver Dodge Caravan.
Officers were dispatched at about 5:50 a.m. Sunday to the 18700 block of Bryant Street, just south of Parthenia Street and a few blocks east of Reseda Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
They arrived to find the suspect holed up inside the Caravan.
The man was taken into custody without incident at about 10 a.m., according to the LAPD’s Media Relations Division.
No injuries were reported, and no further information was immediately available.
