A suspicious package was removed from a stolen car in El Monte Monday by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department robot.
Deputies from the Industry Sheriff’s Station conducted a traffic stop shortly after 2:30 p.m. Monday on Valley Boulevard regarding an alleged stolen car, where the package was found.
The package was removed shortly after 5 p.m. It was left next to the car.
The driver was detained by authorities, KTLA5 reported.
