Charges are expected to be filed on Monday against a 38-year-old man being held Friday on $1 million bail for allegedly stabbing his 6-year-old son to death.
The boy was identified this morning as Nathan Alexander Sanchez, according to coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
Alejandro Sanchez was arrested in the 1600 block of East 88th Street in the unincorporated Florence Firestone neighborhood at 12:33 a.m. Thursday. He was screaming incoherently and covered in blood when he was was taken into custody at the crime scene, sheriff’s Deputy Trina Schrader said.
The child was found in a trailer at the rear of the house, suffering from multiple stab wounds, when deputies responded to a 911 call, Schrader said. He was pronounced dead at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood she said.
