It took 41 firefighters 12 minutes Saturday to find and put out flames that were showing from a second-floor unit of a two-story apartment building in the Valley Glen area of Los Angeles.

The fire was reported at 6:41 p.m. Saturday in a U-shaped apartment building at 12111 W. Califa St., near Laurel Canyon Boulevard, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

The flames were out at 6:53 p.m., Stewart said. No injuries were reported.
