A Norwalk woman was publicly identified Sunday as the person who was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday evening in South Los Angeles.
Zanekia McGowan, 35, was killed according to coroner’s Investigator Selena Barros.
McGowan was struck about 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and 76th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division, which was investigating the fatal crash.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorist whose vehicle struck her stopped and was cooperating with investigators, police said.
