Police declared an unlawful assembly Wednesday during an anti-ICE protest near City Hall as demonstrators gathered in downtown Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department said the declaration was made at about 3:10 p.m. Wednesday as officers monitored protest activity in the area.
Several dozen demonstrators also gathered at Temple and Alameda streets near the federal building, and a broadcast report said police issued a dispersal order there.
It was not clear whether the two demonstrations were connected.
Authorities did not immediately release additional details, including whether any arrests were made.
