Cooler weather is coming to Riverside County this week, with possible rain in the offing as well, forecasters said Sunday.
Sunday’s temperatures were in the low 80s in the downtown Riverside and Coachella Valley areas and similar highs were expected Monday, but temperatures will drop into the mid-60s on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Chances of light precipitation appear in the forecast, most likely arriving Tuesday. Gusty southwest to west winds were also predicted for Tuesday through Thursday.
Dry weather should briefly return on Friday before precipitation chances increase again late Saturday into Sunday of next weekend, according to the NWS.
Overnight lows will generally be in the 50s this week, dropping into the upper 40s in downtown Riverside from Wednesday through next Sunday.
