Two suspects were holed up Friday afternoon in an auto parts outlet in Huntington Park, where a fire broke out, according to a broadcast report.

The fire at a two-story commercial building in the 5000 block of Pacific Avenue, near East 57th Street, was reported about 11:30 a.m. Friday, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

One suspect was taken into custody, but two remained inside the building, according to an ABC7 report, which noted that an armored police vehicle was at the scene.

A fire department spokesman said one person was taken to a hospital. It was unclear if that person was a suspect.

A deputy at the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said around 1:15 p.m. that a SWAT-style Special Enforcement Bureau response had not been requested.

A dispatcher at the Huntington Park Police Department said the watch commander was at the scene, but not immediately available to comment.
