
A man was struck and killed Tuesday by a Union Pacific train in Pomona, authorities said.
The man, in his 60s, died at the scene of the incident, which happened about 3 a.m. at Towne Avenue and First Street, according to the county fire department and the coroner’s office.
Authorities withheld his name, pending notification of kin.
Metrolink service was delayed for about three hours, returning to normal just after 6 a.m., authorities said.
