A person was killed Saturday in a three-vehicle crash that sent one car careening into an historic Long Beach cemetery.
The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. Saturdy at Orange Avenue and Willow Street, according to Signal Hill police Sgt. J. Poor. The city is surrounded by Long Beach.
A black car wound up in the Long Beach Municipal Cemetery, established around the year 1900.
A person inside the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department sent a truck and ambulance to the scene, firefighter Keith Navarre told City News Service. The truck remained “for body recovery” and the ambulance did not transport anyone.
