A man suspected of cutting or stabbing a victim in Jefferson Park was arrested Wednesday after holing up in a building in Jefferson Park.
Officers had responded at about 6:10 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a cutting in the 4200 block of Mont Clair Street, a couple blocks south of the Santa Monica (10) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department also responded and the victim, a man about 40 years old, was in at least serious condition when taken to a hospital.
The suspect was described to police as a man in his 40s.
According to reports from the scene, he had holed up in a building in the 4200 block of Mont Clair Street and was taken into custody about four hours after the first reports of an assault with a deadly weapon were made to police.
