A 61-year-old man who was killed in a car-to-car shooting near the Kia Forum in Inglewood was identified by authorities Monday.
The shooting occurred about 6:30 p.m. Friday, according to Inglewood Police Lt. Landon Poirier.
Inglewood Mayor James Butts told NBC4 the victim was inside a vehicle when he was shot by someone in another car at Prairie Avenue and Manchester Boulevard.
Poirier did not release details about what led to the shooting and said no suspects were in custody. No other injuries were reported.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the victim Monday as Michael Elridge, who sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body.
The wounded man then drove to the area of Nutwood Street and Prairie Avenue, where he lost consciousness.
