A Silver Alert is in effect Saturday for a missing 71-year-old man who was last seen more than 10 days ago in the South Los Angeles neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Juan Gonzalez-Hernandez was last seen at approximately 6 a.m. June 1 near East 43rd Place and McKinley Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Gonzalez-Hernandez is Latino, 6 feet 3 inches , weighs 160 pounds has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and black pants and authorities said Gonzalez-Hernandez is believed to be traveling on foot.
Anyone who has seen Gonzalez-Hernandez or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
