Police will conduct “scenario-based emergency response training” for three days this week at West Covina High School, authorities said Sunday.

The training will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, according to the West Covina Police Department.

Nearby residents might notice an increased police presence and could also hear loud noises, simulated gunfire or fireworks during the training, police added.

The school is currently on summer break.
