Two people were shot Wednesday in Boyle Heights, but both were expected to live.
The victims, described by the Los Angeles Police Department as a male and female, were wounded about 2:10 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of East 15th and Velasco streets.
A man was seen running from the location, headed west on 15th Street, an officer said.
Both victims were stable when taken to a hospital, the LAPD reported.
One victim was reported to have been shot in the hand and the second in the leg and both were conscious and breathing when transported according to police and fire department radio transmissions.
