A Silver Alert was in effect in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and San Diego counties Tuesday for at-risk 74-year-old man last seen in Baldwin Park.

Francisco Martinez was last seen at about 1 p.m. Friday near Ballentine Place and Baldwin Park Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert Monday on behalf of the Baldwin Park Police Department.

Martinez was described as a 5-foot-9-inch-tall man weighing 185 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen shirtless and wearing black shorts.

Authorities believed Martinez to be traveling in a white 2007 Nissan Versa with California license plate 6VYV415.

Anyone with information regarding Martinez’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.

The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person has gone missing and is determined to be at risk to help locate them more quickly.
