An injury crash involving an overturned big rig shut down lanes on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway Friday in Agua Dulce.
The crash was reported about 8:45 a.m. just south of Escondido Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital, a CHP officer said.
A SigAlert was issued just after 9 a.m. with three lanes closed, according to the CHP. All lanes were reopened about 10:30 a.m. and the SigAlert was canceled.
A second crash, also involving a big rig, occurred about 9:20 a.m. on the northbound side about one mile north of the scene of the first crash near Agua Dulce Canyon Road. That crash shut down both the north- and southbound carpool lanes of the 14 Freeway, the officer said.
An associated SigAlert remained in effect 90 minutes after the second crash and traffic was snarled in either direction.
