That was social media Thursday, reacting to the first (or second) time Donald Trump declared that “this administration is running like a fine-tuned machine.”
Besides attacking “dishonest media” in New York and Washington, Trump this time took on L.A. as well.
“Much of the media in Washington, D.C., along with New York, Los Angeles, in particular, speak not for the people but for the special interests,” he said, “and further profit off a very, very obviously broken system.”
His comments at an East Room news conference — his first solo meet-the-press since taking office — immediately became the stuff of memes.
