
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on a freeway in Sylmar Monday and died at the scene.
The man, who was not immediately identified, was struck about 12:05 p.m. on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway west of Roxford Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It was unclear whether the victim was struck alongside or in a traffic lane, nor was it known why he was on the freeway.
One westbound lane was closed until about 4:05 p.m., according to the CHP.
