As Southern California freeways will be jammed again Sunday as drivers head home after the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend, there’s a little bit of economic good news: The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County is down a half-cent to $3.236.

The average price had dropped for 10 consecutive days before it was unchanged on Friday.

The latest numbers Saturday are 3.1 cents less than one week ago, but 17.9 cents more than one month ago and 50.1 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 11th consecutive day, falling one-tenth of a cent to $3.192. It is 3.5 cents less than one week ago, but 17 cents more than one month ago and 47.9 cents higher than one year ago.
