A man was fatally wounded Monday morning while riding his bicycle on a South Los Angeles street, a police officer said.
It happened about 1:50 a.m. in the 1800 block of East 54th Street, Los Angeles police Officer Norma Eisenman said.
The 27-year-old man was riding his bicycle “when an unknown suspect or suspects fired multiple gunshots at him,” Eisenman said.
“The victim was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead,” Eisenman said.
It was not known if the shooting was gang-related, according to Eisenman.
