The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Monday to its lowest amount since Feb. 11, 2011, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.422.

The average price has decreased 26 consecutive days and 49 of the past 50, dropping 40.6 cents over that span, including 1.2 cents on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 10.6 cents less than one week ago, 30.2 cents lower than one month ago and 32.4 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped today to its lowest amount since Feb. 4, 2011, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.396. It is 11 cents less than one week ago, 29.5 cents lower than one month ago and 31.9 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has decreased 25 consecutive days and 47 of the past 49, dropping 40 cents over that span, including 1.1 cents on Sunday.
