The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Sunday to its highest amount since Aug. 29, rising six-tenths of a cent to $3.837.

The average price has risen by less than a cent on each of the past three days and is seven-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 67.4 cents higher than one month ago, but 40.3 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price rose to its highest amount since Aug. 18, increasing 1.1 cents to $3.841, 2.2 cents more than one week ago and 71.9 cents higher than one month ago, but 38.8 cents less than one year ago.
