Palm Springs’ new mask mandate was amended Friday to exclude services where the removal of a face covering is necessary, such as dentist offices.
Customers of businesses where removing a face covering is required must show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours, a city official said.
The mandate unanimously approved by the Palm Springs City Council at a special meeting Wednesday otherwise covers all indoor businesses and applies to employees and customers.
