Seven people were injured Wednesday when a vehicle crashed into a building at a Mead Valley school.
The crash was reported at about 1:15 p.m. at Tomas Rivera Middle School in the 21600 block of Martin Street, near Clark Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Multiple engine crews and ambulances were sent to the location and found that a vehicle had smashed into one of the buildings on the campus, which takes up nearly an entire city block.
Officials at the scene said there were seven patients with minor to moderate injuries, though it was not immediately clear how many of the parties were children.
Sheriff’s deputies were at the school investigating the crash.
Not all of the victims were expected to be transported to a hospital, according to reports from the scene.
